Rathlee National School

In 1926 a new school house was built on the site of the present school. It remained a separate boys’ and girls’ school until 1927 when the two were amalgamated. In 1966 Clooneenmore National School closed, with 33 pupils on roll. The pupils were transported to Rathlee. The school was refurbished in 1990. An extension was built to provide another classroom, staff room, and indoor toilets

Killeenduff National School

Killeenduff National School (officially known as St Farnan’s N.S.) is a two teacher school located just outside Easkey village in Co. Sligo. The single storey building is situated across from The Split Rock within the school building, which was renovated and extended in 2007, are a junior classroom (Junior Infants – 2nd class), a Senior classroom (3rd class to 6th class), a special education room, a music/extra classroom, an office, a kitchen, toilet facilities and a store room.

Owenbeg National School

Owenbeg National School is a primary school located in Owenbeg, Co. Sligo, Ireland.
It is the oldest primary school in West Sligo and dates back to 1837. The school gets its name from the little river that runs close to the school and flows into the sea at Kilbane just west of Easkey Village.
We currently have four class teachers, one special educational needs teacher and one Special Needs Assistant based in the school. It includes a special class to support autistic pupils.
The school has been completely renovated in recent years including the addition of a hall, and a new classroom thanks to funding from the Department of Education and Science.
The poet Patrick Kavanagh’s grandfather taught in Owenbeg school

Coláiste Iascaigh

Coláiste Iascaigh is the secondary school in Easkey. It was opened by County Sligo VEC in 1948. The majority of students attending the school travel to the school by bus from the surrounding areas.
The school offers Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate Programmes at Higher and Ordinary level. It also offers the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme and the Leaving Certificate Applied programme.
