5K Charity Run/Walk

PLEASE SUPPORT.

On Sunday 12th March Laura’s Easkey Family, Aunts,Uncles and Cousins, will be holding a 5K Charity Run for Laura Gilmore Anderson, in Easkey village. Laura’s mum is a Rathlee Easkey native.

At just 35, Laura is fighting an extremely rare Cancer and facing something someone so young should not have to face. Time is not on Laura’s side as she desperately needs funds to travel to Mexico for treatment. All the details of Laura’s journey can be found on her page (tagged).

Your support would be so appreciated at this stage, so please show your support by joining us for this charity run and raffle at The Castle Inn Easkey, next Sunday the 12th. You could be in with the chance of winning a variety of great prizes while donating to such a worthwhile cause.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Easkey Village is on FRIDAY 17th March at 3pm

***************************

COUNT-DOWN to the Parade

Working in conjunction with our neighboring Parishes, Enniscrone and Dromore West, the “Three Village” St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been a great success in previous years.

We are asking ALL local businesses and organizations to take part in the Parade so that the 2023 Event will be even bigger and better than in previous years.

The plan is; that all the Floats and Walkers will be asked to assemble in the car park outside Easkey Parish Church (St. James’s) from 2pm.

The Parade through the village will commence at 3pm (Sharp) and then we are hoping that some of the floats will move-on to Dromore West to join their parade, which moves off at 4pm. Usually some of the Enniscrone Floats stop off in Easkey, to support our parade and then they in turn also move- on to Dromore West.

This Easkey St. Patrick’s Day Parade should hopefully be a fun family event and we are aiming to bring the whole Community together and make it a Special Day for Easkey, just like all our emigrants will be doing all over the world at their Local Parades.

If you find that entering a float will be too time consuming to organize, we hope that at least you and your Family will be able to come to the Village to see the parade and to cheer on all their friends and neighbors, who are taking part in the walk through the village.

There will be a viewing stand in the middle of the Village to announce every group as they pass by.

We would like to request that the street is kept clear of parked vehicles from 1am to 4pm on the day of the Parade, to enhance the enjoyment of everyone

Entry is free of charge, the more the merrier.

As with previous years…the Enniscrone Parade will start at 1 pm then Easkey’s Parade is at 3 pm and lastly the Dromore West Parade will commence at 4 pm.
